Former Navy and commercial airline pilot and businessman Dan Fanelli continued to gain ground in the Republican straw polls.
Starting as a "newcomer" to the political scene when he declared his candidacy in the 8th Congressional District against Alan Grayson on October 1st, Fanelli has continued to climb in the straw poll results to the very respectable position of 2nd Place!
This strong finish was followed-up with an indepth interview by
MyFox35-Orlando this weekend, as Dan continues to become more and more well known in Central Florida as the common sense fiscal conservative who has the solutions to our nation's many major problems including the unemployment crisis, terrorism, and national defense.
Fox 35 called Fanelli a "bold, confident, and aggressively controversial candidate, which was highlighted by his campaign ads". Other Fox 35 comments indicated that a Fanelli vs.Grayson contest would be a strong no-holds-barred race!
