WHY WE NEED NEW REPRESENTATION
Government spending is out of control, and a $2 trillion dollar deficit looms on the horizon for this year alone! Our constitution is being trampled upon, and our energy policy is non-existent as our jobs continue to go overseas! The current administration has taken control of banks; car companies, and now is taking control of our health care! The rapidly increasing size of our government is unprecedented, and will sap the strength from our already weakened economy. In an unprecedented development, special interest groups, not elected officials, are writing new laws and spending bills (including the Stimulus Bill that was passed, and the just passed Health Care Legislation.
This situation begs for these questions to be answered:
- Why are congressmen not writing (or reading) these bills, and who did write these two 1000+ page bills?
- Why was President Obama in such a hurry to pass the Stimulus Bill and the Health Care Bill? These two pieces of legislation happen to be the largest spending bills in the history of the United States of America and will cost the American taxpayers and our children more than ever before.
These are just a few of the problems that are tearing at the very fabric of what we proud Americans call the greatest nation on earth. It is clear our current path is unsustainable and will significantly erode our future standard of living, as well as saddle us with crippling interest payments and massive debt for generations to come. It is time to get rid of the rich lawyers and professional politicians who do not keep and hold our traditional American values.
We must return America to the prudent fiscal responsibility and to the core values and principles that have made us great. It is time for mainstream America to awaken, to be “Silent No More,” and to take back our great Nation!
Florida needs a representative in Congress that will fight for every citizen of the state, not the special interest groups that pay to play. We need a vibrant leader who has achieved success through hard work and sacrifice, someone who has served his country and is willing to do it again. It is time to come together to elect Dan Fanelli to represent us as US Congressman, Florida District 8.
